Compare Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese Magic: The Gathering printings by shared Oracle card identity and see how names differ between the two scripts.
Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese are two writing systems for Chinese. A Magic card can therefore represent the same Oracle card identity while using different printed Chinese characters, and in some cases different localized wording. CTG compares printings by Oracle identity so the comparison is between the same underlying Magic card, not merely cards with similar names.
Some ZHT and ZHS printed names differ because the same word is written with different Traditional and Simplified characters. Other differences can reflect localization choices, terminology changes or distinct printed wording. The database shows what was printed; it should not automatically treat every difference as a linguistic reinterpretation.
The comparison is anchored to Oracle ID. This avoids grouping different cards just because their English or Chinese names resemble one another, and lets each Card Identity page show the complete printing history behind the summary below.
